Today CEKLAV(Centro de Estudios Karsticos LA VENTA) is one year old.
The CEKLAV is an association that works to document, popularize and protect the underworld in southern Mexico. The founder were various La Venta members (Mexican and Italian).
The Centre is located in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, and operational base in Cintalapa de Figueroa, at the Rancho El Arco.
Many projects for the protection, safeguarding and promotion already started in this year.
Good luck from all LA VENTA!!!
Like every year, in this period, there will be a caving reunion in Italy this year held in Casola Valsenio (RA) from 31 October to 2 November.
And like every year LA VENTA will be present.
We will have a stand where you can find our publications and some dvd where we expect many. In this way you will also give a hand to carry out our projects.
A few days ago has finally come out a new book, titled "The river of swallows" dedicated to the Puerto Princesa Underground River, the largest cave on the island of Palawan in the Philippines, in which the association La Venta has spent 7 expeditions, in a period of 25 years.
The volume, edited by Tono De Vivo and Leonardo Piccini, describes in summary this extraordinary cave, which this year has been included in the list of "New seven wonders of nature," and of the surrounding environment.
In the episode of Linea Blu aired on RAI 1 on August 31, at minte 46, speaks of Mount Kronio and its caves.
And, among other things, of La Venta!
Watch the video from minute 46.
Last entry to Dark Star to recover the material from the internal camp and then in a short time we are descending, this time in the light of the sun, the long rope that has allowed us to reach the entrance in the wall. We go down for the last time. Maybe.
We have two days to take down the camp and move to the civilization that is able to offer the remote Uzbekistan. But maybe I need to go to Liestan, it is precisely in that country where you lay down and sleep.
We travel on the truck who guesses expertly the path drawn between boulders and water bringing us to the Sadik's village, our Uzbek guide, where we are guests for dinner and the night. The next day begins the long journey to the capital through Boysun and Samarkand, where we remain to be tourists for a day.
