On the second day, at the Salon of the Porta del Caos, we ascended the flow stone, which drops to the center of the salon, and we gave a first look at the new branches that develop above.
Settled the camp in the Corridoio dei Tapiri, the third day was dedicated to the exploration and survey of about half a kilometer of new branches, where we left behind an ascent on a large gorge obstructed by a calcitic flow. We also found an important by-pass to avoid the muddy and uncomfortable ascent from the salon.
On the fourth day we continued the crossing in spacious and concretioned salons and, after 9 hours , we saw back the light of day within the grandiose canyon of the Rio La Venta with its beautiful cliffs 400 m high.
At the camp by the river, ahead of us, some mexican friends have prepared the fish caught on the place, carcoal-broiled or fried.
The fifth day was definitely the most tiring for the steep way back from the river with a stifling heat of at least 35 °, but in the end we have been rewarded by cold beers, homemade tamales and a nice roast chicken.
