Il lago della "Bella addormentata" (Foto S. Sedran)On the second day, at the Salon of the Porta del Caos, we ascended the flow stone, which drops to the center of the salon, and we gave a first look at the new branches that develop above.

Settled the camp in the Corridoio dei Tapiri, the third day was dedicated to the exploration and survey of about half a kilometer of new branches, where we left behind an ascent on a large gorge obstructed by a calcitic flow. We also found an important by-pass to avoid the muddy and uncomfortable ascent from the salon. La risalita (Foto S. Sedran)On the fourth day we continued the crossing in spacious and concretioned salons and, after 9 hours , we saw back the light of day within the grandiose canyon of the Rio La Venta with its beautiful cliffs 400 m high.

At the camp by the river, ahead of us, some mexican friends have prepared the fish caught on the place, carcoal-broiled or fried. Tutti insieme sotto la prima medusaThe fifth day was definitely the most tiring for the steep way back from the river with a stifling heat of at least 35 °, but in the end we have been rewarded by cold beers, homemade tamales and a nice roast chicken.
