We will leave from Rome to Madrid, and from there, after a transatlantic flight of about ten hours we will land in Mexico City. A final flight to Tuxtla Gutierrez, capital of Chiapas, and that's it It's always strange to come to Mexico City; practically, before landing, the plane flew over the city at low altitude for about ten minutes, sometimes you can even catch a glimpse of the people inside the houses. If you arrive at night, then, the glow of the huge metropolis can be seen from miles and miles away. Luckily in Monstruo (monster), so call it Mexicans, you will stay a little, eager to explore the "green sea" of the forest El Ocote. Our program? To explore the forest in the area of Bochil, a colony surrounded by greenery. We also have an objective, to achieve a big Sotano (collapse) identified from aerial photographs in the middle of the forest; it will be hard but we will make all we can. Well, in the meantime our friends Gianni, Paolo and Lucas, that have anticipated us of a few days to organize on site our movements in the territories of colonias (the villages on the edge of the forest), will be there waiting for us at the airport in Tuxtla, then with a journey of eighty kilometers on the back of a pik-up, (here is the custom to travel this way) we'll go to Cintalapa, where is located our materials warehouse. The next day, charged materials and supplies, we leave for Bochil and forests of Veinte Casas and El Ocote, after that, we will be swallowed up by the green.
