We were able to arrive to the Benito Juarez 2 colony; wonderful place, high mountains, forests and green meadows, with evident swallow-holes.
Finally we came back to Carranza and Nueva Jerusalem.
In Carranza, about three kilometers from the rio, they showed us a little hole where a good flow of air comes out: taken away a few stones, we got into a nice cave that goes on and we stopped at a pretty pit of 10-12 meters.

The expedition, as usual, will have several goals.
This year, too, we are going to give a basic speleology course for the people of the zone. We follow through our effort to improve the speleological and cultural skills and, most important of all, the protection of this carsic territory.
A great amount of the explorative work will be centered in the area of the Nueva Jerusalem and La Florida Colonies. There, last November, we left many work unfinished for a lack of time and even more indication to see.
Among the other things, we will replay the crossing of the Cueva del Rio la Venta to accompany some friends speleologists from Costarica and we will present, in Tuxtla Gutierrez (capital of Chiapas) and also at the Colonies the last book published by our Association: “Cueva del Rio La Venta – An underground dream”.
